She delivered and ate the girls up week after week!! She was CLEARLY the one to beat overall and the only two people who could stand toe to toe with Carly, vocally, were David Cook and Syesha!!! That would’ve been a final three to see ESPECIALLY if they were given songs that showed off the greatest vocal abilities!! They sang everybody under a table and back that season, and the fact that Carly was eliminated during the top 6 week without ever being in the bottom 3 or 2 was insane and absolutely incorrect!

funny part is these guys were actually better than most of evanescence albums after the first 1. The only post-fallen ev album I think can compete with wearethefallen is their 2nd album which had some really good songs on it. After that it was mostly awful and most people just liked it because it was amy lee and the brand they knew.

I see Simon on this season with Kelly Clarkson; he was tough on her too. Still, Carly is amazing, and this performance is truly outstanding.

I agree with the judges' points.. but she's still amazing. Regarding the song choice, it seems like she has lost connection with it... Carly is so talented, but there's something holding her back. Still, she slays.

I loved it in 2008 and couldn't stop singing it afterwards! I renewed its magic again in 2023 - the most dire, frightening, and hate-filled year of my life! Ms. Rae Smithson performance helped me pull pathos, hope and inspiration from a Beetle's song that I never even knew! I am belting in awe of America and I am a blackbird.
